And there is also a picture of an animal with antlers, just like the ones their stag beetle friend Little Hubert has. The three of them can hardly believe what strong animals they will be when they grow up. Their heroic fantasies are interrupted when a call for help brings them back to the forest floor. That's when they realize that they are great as little crawlers, and they're the best of friends. Werner Holzwarth, geb. 1947, war Professor der Visuellen Kommunikation an der Bauhaus-Universität in Weimar. 1989 erschien sein Kinderbuch Vom kleinen Maulwurf, der wissen wollte, wer ihm auf den Kopf gemacht hat, mit dem er weltweit Erfolge feiert. Bis 1992 studierte sie an der Universität Mainz Kunst. Seit 2003 arbeitet sie als freie Illustratorin. Dorota Wünsch lebt mit ihrer Familie in Saarbrücken.
