Paolo Favole arbeitet selbstständig in Mailand, spezialisiert auf Gebäude und Städteplanung. Er ist Autor zahlreicher Artikel und Essays zur Architektur- und Stadtgeschichte und wird in diesem Zusammenhang regelmäßig als Sprecher für Konferenzen und Seminare eingeladen. Seit ihrer Gründung 1991 ist er Präsident der Fondazione della Associazione per le Città Murate di Lombardia. Er hat zahlreiche Bücher geschrieben.
