Die feinsinnigen Entwürfe von Terunobu Fujimori (geb.1946 in der Präfektur Nagano) faszinieren: Archaisch, exzentrisch, poetisch und ökologisch, sind sie fast ausschließlich aus traditionellen, einfachen Materialien wie Erde, Stein, Holz, Kohle, Baumrinde und Mörtel gebaut. Fujimoris Architektur appelliert an Urinstinkte, verspricht Wärme und Schutz. Sie ist Vorbild für eine junge, internationale Architektengeneration, die Wert auf nachhaltiges, geschichtsbewusstes und gleichzeitig zukunftsfähiges Bauen legt.
Die Publikation veranschaulicht anhand von Modellen, Zeichnungen, Architekturplänen und Fotografien das Schaffen Fujimoris, der gerne als weltweit einziger surrealer Architekt bezeichnet wird.
