Rosin gelingt es mit ihren Arrangements die originale kompositorische Struktur beizubehalten, indem sie den ursprünglichen Part der rechten Hand unverändert dem Melodieinstrument zuordnet. The 'Gymnopédies' from 1888 rank amongst Satie's most popular works for the piano. These arrangements for the recorder will provide the player with a new and unique challenge for capturing the calm, almost simple solemnity of these pieces. The resulting sound experience will prove quite remarkable. Sylvia C. Rosin has managed to maintain the original musical structure in her arrangements by assigning the melody line, the right hand part in the original, to the recorder.
According to the individual requirements of the player the arrangements can be played on the soprano or tenor and even the treble recorder.
