Robert de Visée, musician at the court of Louis XIV is well-known to players of the guitar because of the music he wrote for this instrument. Nevertheless comparatively few of his works have been published and even these few in a manner not compatible with the original prints. The edition is based on the original print which appeared in Paris in 1686.
