Full Description
This book consists of articles by the editor in chief and five academic scholars on the perspectives of memory, artworks by 60 Chinese artists and 60 Italian artists with the theme of memory and commentary on the artwork and a biography of each artist and aims to express the editor in chief's own thoughts and reflections on the subject of memory. It reports on the first large scale international biennale between China and Italy in which top artists participated, and which was a landmark, bringing together visual arts and other academic disciplines, i.e. philosophical interpretation, philosophy of the soul, art history, curatorial history, poetry and architecture. Beyond most people's expectation, this book endorses an ancient Chinese idiom - Simple use of the pen can be better than a good memory.
