Description

This book is about calculus of surfaces. Firstly, we present and prove the main results on surface integration in a clear and readable fashion. The following chapters are dedicated to solving new problems on the theory of surface integration of scalar and vector fields over parameterized regular surfaces. The book ends with a chapter on proposed problems and their solutions which many of them were used in classroom and in assessment in the last 20 years. Luís Vieira and Rui Gonçalves are assistant professors at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Porto(UP). Luís Vieira and Rui Gonçalves have respectively 40 and 25 years of experience lecturing in calculus and algebra. Luís Vieira is a researcher at Center of mathematics of UP. Rui Gonçalves is a researcher at INESC TEC.
