Description
One of the most challenging security issues in networking is network scanning process. Network scanning is considered as an initial step in any attacking process to explore the targeted network. Therefore, detecting network scanning will help to protect networks resources before the real attack happens. This thesis proposes an approach consists of three layers aim to detect network scanning called Three Layers Approach. Omar E. Elejla received his B.Eng. degree in Computer Engineering from Islamic University of Gaza 2013, and M.Sc. in Computer Sciences from Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) 2014. Currently, he is a Ph.D. fellow in the School of computer Science, Universiti Sains Malaysia. His research interest includes: IPv6, IPv6 Security and Network Security.
