This manual is prepared with the specific focus on those who enlighten the young minds about the issues relating to reproductive health, healthy and holistic views of sexuality and practical life-skills. It attempts to enable the trainers, among many others, to empower them with the right knowledge of these issues, to inculcate an empathetic understanding towards the youngsters and to remove unnecessary inhibitions so that they communicate with the trainees comfortably and effectively on these sensitive issues. It seeks to provide required information on a variety of topics, as follows: Adolescence and puberty, Reproductive system, Puberty, Sexuality and Behavior, Conception, Reproductive rights, Pregnancy, Abortion, Sexually transmitted infections, Life skills -10 core skills-WHO, Relationship, and Responsible parenthood. Sr. Theresa N.Lonappan is a Ph.D. in Human Development and Family Studies, with the focus on Reproductive Health and Life-skills Education, from Sri. Padmavathi Women's Univ., Tirupati, India, as well holding graduation and post-graduation in Nursing and a diploma in Pharmacy. She is currently the Director of Vijay Marie Hospital, Hyderabad, India.
