This book tells an interesting story about the declining of the Sudanese economy. It is about the missed opportunities to develop agricultural sector during the oil boom, inflation crisis, fiscal and monetary policies, and how they may be controlled and influenced by government policies. Unlike other books about Sudan, this volume captures the interplay between agricultural, monetary, and fiscal policies that permit one to have a clear understanding of Sudan economy. The book is organized into five main chapters. Chapter one examines the declining of Sudan's economy, chapter two deals with inflation, and the monetary policies response, chapter three discusses the role of IMF packages and foreign grants in Sudan's economy, which considered as the injections into the Dutch disease. Chapter four devoted to answer the fundamental question, does our value become worsen? and examines in details the effects of fiscal policies on households' lives in Sudan, chapter five discusses the regaining missed opportunities in Sudan and the role of agriculture post-separation development of Sudan.
