The book provide an account on history of SEZ and its development in world and India. Along with raises the issues and problems face in development of SEZ in India. The issue of, acquisition of land prominently agricultural land, resettlement and rehabilitation and peoples perception about development of SEZ has been presented in this book. The book is based on empirical findings of primary survey. The socio economic implications of land acquisition and compensation has been highlighted in this book. On the whole, the book will be beneficial for the researchers and planners.
