Many Pulitzer Prize-winners in the theatere award categoy started their international careers right from Broadway. Among the laureates were dramatists like Eugene O`Neill who earned four awards. Double prize-winner Tennessee Williams was praised for "A Streetcar Named Desire" and "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof". Thornton Wilder`s plays "Our Town' and "The Skin of Our Teeth" were successful as well as Arthur Miller`s "Death of a Salesman". Edward Alboe ("Three Tall Women") or Alfred Uhry ("Driving Miss Daisy") represent the younger generation of Pulitzer Prize-winning playwrights.
