stamina, solidarity, pride all included in the
almost two and a half centuries of the life of
Australia.
On these pages I try to give the Reader a
descriptive summary of the birth and formation of a
strong nation in one of the world s most beautiful
places the process of creating everything from
nothing.
How Colonists coped with all the negative factors
that came up and made their life difficult: the
resistance of Aboriginies; the lack of water and the
incredibly high temperature; political and social
intolerance
What were their aims they fought for and how
successful they were?
How they came through all the troubles they had to
face? The result of their struggle is visible: a
beautiful, flowering, modern country, a real nation
with a rich, special culture, guarding every minor
event of their short history.
They have done a huge thing for the world and
humanity: they gave life for the Fifth Continent
which isstill open for everyone wherever they come
from.
