Mit diesem Band legt der "Förderkreis der Internationalen Akademie zur Humanisierung der Bildung e.V.", der sich 1997 in Deutschland (Hildesheim und Magdeburg) konstituierte, ein erstes Jahrbuch vor. Die "Internationale Akademie" wurde 1995 auf einem Kongreß am Aja-See im Altai (Sibirien) gegründet. Sie entstand aus einem Kreis von internationalen Bildungsforschern, vornehmlich aus Osteuropa sowie aus Deutschland, England, Australien, Kanada und den USA. Das Jahrbuch versteht sich als Forum für Fragen der "Humanisierung der Bildung"; ein Begriff, der gegenwärtig durchaus auch Anlaß zu kontroversen Diskussionen gibt. Es will einen Beitrag zu einer Neuorientierung der Bildung auf freiheitlicher und sozial verantwortlicher Grundlage leisten. Entsprechend dieser Themenstellung geht es aber auch - mit Blick auf den Bildungs- und Erziehungsbereich - um historische und aktuelle Probleme in gesellschaftlichen Transformationsprozessen unterschiedlichster Art.
Der Band enthält Beiträge, jenach Autor, in deutscher, englischer und russischer Sprache. Jeder Beitrag enthält Zusammenfassungen in zwei dieser Sprachen.
This volume represents the first yearbook of the "Förderkreis der Internationalen Akademie zur Humanisierung der Bildung e. V." which was formed in 1997 in Germany (Hildesheim and Magdeburg). The International Academy of Humanization of Education was founded in 1995 at a Congress on the banks of the Aja Lake in Altai/Siberia (Russia). It drew its members from a group of researchers into education originating mainly from Eastern Europe, and also from Germany, England, Australia, Canada and the USA.
The yearbook should be seen as a forum for issues concerning the humanization of education; this is a concept which is at present provoking controversial discussion. The editors and contributors hope to be making a contribution to a new orientation in education on a free and socially responsible basis. In addition to this thematic bracketing the volume also dealswith historical and present-day problems regarding processes of transformation in society in so far as they are relevant to education and culture. Depending on the authors the articles will be in German, Russian or English; each article will also comprise a summary in two of these languages.
