Description

This book provides systematic guidance on controlling non-metallic inclusions in aluminum-killed steels under non-stirring conditions to enhance steel?s mechanical properties, fatigue life, and processing performance. It explores how elements like aluminum, magnesium, and rare earths influence inclusion behavior, integrates advanced experimental and theoretical approaches, and proposes practical strategies for clean steel production. Aimed at bridging academic research and industrial application, it also looks ahead to oxide metallurgy and the role of fine inclusions in promoting intragranular ferrite nucleation for next-generation high-performance steels. Chapter 01. Introduction
Chapter 02. Research Methods for Inclusions
Chapter 03. Formation and Evolution of Inclusions in Aluminum-Deoxidized Steels
Chapter 04. Inclusion Modification and Evolution under Calcium Treatment
Chapter 05. Type Control and Transformation Mechanisms of Inclusions under Magnesium Treatment
Chapter 06. Formation Processes and Behavioral Characteristics of Ti-Related Inclusions
Chapter 07. Structural Characteristics and Control Mechanisms of Inclusions in Zr-Deoxidized Steels
Chapter 08. Regulation Rules of Rare-Earth Inclusions under Cerium Treatment
Chapter 09. Evolution Pathways and Cleanliness Effects of Inclusions under Yttrium Treatment
Chapter 10. Oxide Inclusion Nucleation
Chapter 11. Inclusion Coarsening Kinetics
Chapter 12. Inclusion Agglomeration Forces
Chapter 13. Summary of Control Mechanisms Linzhu Wang is a Professor at the College of Materials and Metallurgy, Guizhou University, China. Her main research interests focus on clean steel smelting, high-temperature alloy smelting, corrosion and protection of metallic materials, and multiscale computation and numerical simulation of metallurgical processes.

Rui-Zhi Gao is a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at Guizhou University. His research focuses on the control and modification of non-metallic inclusions, as well as the corrosion behavior and localized corrosion mechanisms of materials.

Jun Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at Guizhou University. Her research centers on rare-earth modified inclusions in steel and the regulation of strengthening phases in oxide-dispersion-strengthened steels for fusion reactor applications.

Jing-Feng Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in Materials Science and Engineering at Guizhou University and a lecturer at Zhengzhou Railway Vocational and Technical College. His research addresses inclusion control and oxide metallurgy in rare-earth-treated specialty steels.
