Globalization, shorter product life cycles, and new information technologies - competition takes no longer between companies, but between entire supply chains. Hence there is a need for a synchronized measurement and improvement of supply chain performance occuring, which is a complex construct overall. Supply chain performance management encompasses therefore all methodologies, metrics, processes, systems, and even software applicable to this task.This volume edited by Wolfgang Kersten, Thorsten Blecker, and Matthias Meyer provides information on how to measure and improve the performance of logistics and supply chains by the mean of different strategies, processes, and metrics of an interorganizational performance management.

Dr. Matthias Meyer studierte Wirtschaftsinformatik an der TU Braunschweig, war danach wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftsinformatik der Katholischen Universität Eichstätt und arbeitet heute am Seminar für Empirische Forschung und Quantitative Unternehmensplanung der LMU München.Wolfgang Kersten, promovierter Kunsthistoriker. 1985 am Bauhaus-Archiv Berlin, 1986-1991 in der Paul-Klee-Stiftung, Kunstmuseum Bern, und seit 1991 am Kunsthistorischen Institut der Universität Zürich tätig. Seit 1985 zahlreiche Veröffentlichungen, insbesondere über Paul Klee.Dr. Thorsten Blecker promovierte am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Dr. Bernd Kaluza an der Universität GH in Duisburg. Er arbeitet derzeit als Universitätsassistent am Institut für Wirtschaftswissenschaften mit den Schwerpunkten Produktions-, Logistik- und Umweltmanagement am Lehrstuhl von Prof. Dr. Bernd Kaluza der Universität in Klagenfurt.
