Die Arbeit befasst sich umfassend mit dem Meinungsäußerungsdelikt der Billigung von Straftaten gemäß 140 Nr. 2 StGB anlässlich der Ausweitung des Tatbestands im Jahr 2021. Unter Berücksichtigung internetspezifischer Äußerungsformen erfolgt eine straf- und verfassungsrechtliche Analyse der Norm. Dabei wird der Blick auch auf das Schutzgut des öffentlichen Friedens gerichtet, das inhaltlich zuletzt mit dem Schutz vor tatanreizenden Dynamiken in den sozialen Medien aufgeladen wurde. »Condoning Criminal Offenses and Public Peace on the Internet. A Criminal and Constitutional Law Analysis of Sec. 140 No. 2 of the German Criminal Code«: The thesis deals comprehensively with the offense of condoning of criminal offenses pursuant to Sec. 140 No. 2 of the German Criminal Code (StGB). Taking into account forms of expression specific to the internet, a criminal and constitutional analysis of the norm is carried out. It also focuses on the protected interest of public peace, which was most recently reinforced by the protection against dynamics in social media that might incite criminal acts. Antonia Wancke studied law at the University of Bonn, specializing in criminal law. From June 2021 to October 2023, she worked at the Institute for Economic and Tax Criminal Law for Professor Dr. Schmitz at the University of Osnabrück on a project related to research on organized economic crime. She then worked as a research assistant at an international law firm specializing in economic criminal law in Düsseldorf. Since July 2024, she has been a legal trainee at the Higher Regional Court there.
