Die Arbeit untersucht die rechtlichen Folgen von Vergabefehlern für Verfahren und Zuschlag unterhalb der EU-Schwellenwerte. Sie betrachtet die einschlägigen allgemeinen und vergabespezifischen Fehlerfolgenregelungen und praxisrelevanten Randbereiche, z.B. das Zuwendungsvergaberecht. Die Arbeit zeigt auf, dass die Fehlerfolgen je nach Rechtsnatur des Zuschlags variieren und gelangt zu dem Ergebnis, dass die aktuelle Rechtslage zwar rechtspolitisch kritikwürdig, rechtlich aber weitgehend zulässig ist. »Consequences of Errors in the Award Procedure«: The thesis examines the legal consequences of procurement errors for procedures and awards below the EU thresholds. It considers the relevant general and procurement-specific error consequence regulations and practice-relevant peripheral areas, e.g. grant award law (Zuwendungsvergaberecht). It shows that the consequences of errors vary depending on the legal nature of the contract award and concludes that, although the current legal situation is open to criticism from a legal policy perspective, it is largely permissible from a legal point of view. Following this, he worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Public Law, in particular Administrative Law, held by Prof. Dr. Thorsten Siegel at the Free University of Berlin, while pursuing his doctorate. At the same time he worked consecutively as a research assistant at two commercial law firms in the area of procurement law. Since August 2024, he has been a legal trainee at the Berlin Court of Appeal (Kammergericht). He received his doctorate in 2025.
