Aus Anlass des 100-jährigen Gedenkens der Gründung der Tamilischen Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche (TELC) am 14. Januar 2019 gibt das Ev.-Luth. Missionswerk Leipzig e. V. einen Band mit Betrachtungen zu zehn Bibeltexten heraus. Jeder der ausgewählten Evangeliumstexte wird dabei aus indischer und deutscher Perspektive besprochen und stellt somit für Verkündiger und Verkündigerinnen eine interessante Materialsammlung dar. Die Beiträger sind Pfarrer und Pfarrerinnen aus der Tamilischen Evangelisch-Lutherischen Kirche, aus der sächsischen Landeskirche und der Evangelischen Kirche Mitteldeutschlands. Grußworte der Bischöfe und eine Einführung in die Geschichte der Tranquebar-Mission runden den Band ab.Das Buch, das sich als Jubiläumsgabe versteht, soll den Gedanken der Partnerschaft zwischen der indischen Kirche und den Trägerkirchen des Leipziger Missionswerkes befördern. Sein Herausgeber Hans-Georg Tannhäuser ist Leiter des Asien/Pazifik-Referates des Leipziger Missionswerkes.[TamilEvangelical Lutheran Church (1919-2019) - A Centenary.
