Prof. Dr. Katja Becker obtained her Academic Degree in Medicine at Heidelberg University. She carried out her doctoral-thesis as well as her Habilitation at the Biochemistry Centre, Heidelberg, before she obtained a Junior Group Leader Position at the Research Center for Infectious Diseases, Würzburg University. Since 2000 she holds the Chair of Nutritional Biochemistry at the Justus-Liebig University Giessen. Scientifically she focuses on the characterization of redox active proteins as drug targets. She has produced more than 170 scientific publications and received numerous scientific awards including the Carus Medal of the German Academy of Sciences Leopoldina and the Leuckart Medal of the German Society for Parasitology. Since June 2009 she is a member of the Leopoldina.

Peter M. Wehmeier, geb. 1963 in Kassel, studierte von 1985 - 1991 Humanmedizin in Marburg und an der Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, USA. ER war Arzt im Praktikum im Ludwig-Noll-Krankenhaus, Städtische Kliniken, Kassel und machte eine Weiterbildung zum Psychotherapeuten in Kassel und Marburg, zusätzlch von 1995 - 1999 eine Weiterbildung zum Facharzt für Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und -psychotherapie in der Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie des Kindes- und Jugendalters der Philipps-Universität Marburg. Von 1999 - 2002 war er dort tätig als Oberarzt. Von 2002 - 2011 Tätigkeit in der klinischen Arzneimittelforschung, Lilly Deutschland GmbH, Bad Homburg. Seit 2007 ist Peter M. Wehmeier nebenberuflich im Bereich Selbstmanagement in einer Privatpraxis in Frankfurt tätig. 2010 Habilitation für das Fach Kinder- und Jugendpsychiatrie und -psychotherapie, Medizinische Fakultät Mannheim der Universität Heidelberg, seit 2010 hat er einen Lehrauftrag an dieser Fakultät. Seit 2011 ist er stellvertretender Klinikdirektor, Vitos Klinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie, Weilmünster
