This book fills a critical gap in the field of Translation Studies by introducing a collection of contributions from scholars and practicing translators who work with Pakistani languages. The contributors share their experiences of translating into and/or from Pakistani languages, which broadens the context of Translation and Interpretation Studies. They argue that, despite the diverse multilingual context of Pakistan, the problems and challenges faced by translators are a neglected field of study compared to the global explorations within the field of Translation Studies. This book highlights the lack of support for translation studies centers and institutions in Pakistan by exploring the perspectives of translators and the challenges they face in publication, and emphasizes the irony between the inferior treatment of translators and their translations in Pakistan and the strong readership of translations.
