Shu-Chuan Chu received a Ph.D. degree in 2004 from the School of Computer Science, Engineering, and Mathematics, Flinders University of South Australia. She joined Flinders University in December 2009 after 9 years at Cheng Shiu University, Taiwan. She has been a research fellow and an adjunct associate professor in the College of Science and Engineering of Flinders University, Australia, since December 2009. Currently, from August 2019, she has been a professor at Shandong University of Science and Technology until 2024. Currently, she serves as a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at the School of Artificial Intelligence/School of Future Technology, Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology. She also serves as an editorial board member for Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence (EAAI), Journal of Internet Technology (JIT), and Journal of Computers (English-Taiwan). Her research interests are mainly in Evolutionary Computation, Artificial Intelligence, and Wireless Sensor Networks.
Professor Tzu-Chuen Lu is currently a faculty member in the Department of Information Management at Chaoyang University of Technology, Taiwan. She received her B.M. (1999) and M.S.I.M. (2001) degrees from Chaoyang University of Technology and earned her Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from National Chung Cheng University in 2006. She has a strong research interest in Multimedia Technologies and Artificial Intelligence, focusing on interdisciplinary innovation and applications.
Jeng-Shyang Pan received a B.S. degree in electronic engineering from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology in 1986, an M.S. degree in communication engineering from the National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in 1988, and a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Edinburgh, UK, in 1996. He is currently a professor at Nanjing University of Information Science and Technology, China. He is an IET fellow in the UK and has been the vice chair of the IEEE Tainan Section and Tainan chapter chair of the IEEE Signal Processing Society. He has published more than 300 journal papers, 400 conference papers, 35 book chapters, and 22 books. His current research interests include Information Hiding, Artificial Intelligence, and Wireless Sensor Networks.
Maria Virvou was born in Athens, Greece. She is Full Professor and Head of the Department of Informatics in the University of Piraeus, Greece, She received a B.Sc. Degree in Mathematics from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece, a M.Sc. Degree in Computer Science from the University College London,U.K. and a Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence from the University of Sussex, U.K.She is currently supervising 5 Ph.D. students and 5 post-doctoral researchers. Many journal articles of hers have been ranked among the most cited/downloaded papers of the respective journals where they have been published. Her research interests are in the area of Computers and Education, Artificial Intelligence in Education, user and student modeling, e-learning and m-learning, Knowledge-Based Software Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction.
Tien-Wen Sung received his Ph.D. degree in Computer and Communication Engineering from Department of Electrical Engineering at Cheng Kung University, Taiwan, in 2014. He is currently a full professor in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Fujian University of Technology, China. He is awarded the Taiwanese Outstanding Talents in Fujian Province of China. He is now the executive editor of Journal of Information Hiding and Multimedia Processing and the associate editor of Journal of Network Intelligence. As a guest editor, he has edited several special issues for SCIE journals. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Wireless Sensor Networks, and U-Learning.
