Description

Micromanufacturing Operations explores the precision manufacturing at the microscale, providing updated knowledge on micromanufacturing operations such as laser texturing, micro-machining, micro-EDM, micro-punching, micro-rolling, and micro-deposition techniques. Micromanufacturing enables the production of high-end components across various sectors, including microchips and MEMS devices in electronics, microfluidic devices, lab-on-a-chip systems in biomedical applications, microsensors and microactuators in the automotive and aerospace industries, and microgenerators and micro-scale energy harvesting devices in the energy sector. The book, designed for engineers, practitioners, and students, adopts a practical, hands-on approach, incorporating case studies and emphasizing recent advances in micromanufacturing operations across various sectors.

  • Focuses on emerging technologies for high-end applications in different sectors;

    Surface planarization in micro phase slurries.- Laser texturing for surface processing.- Micro machining processes for polymers.- Micro electrical discharge machining micro edm for aerospace alloys.- Wire spark erosion machining wsem for advanced alloys.- Micro electrochemical machining for difficult to cut alloys.- Micro deposition techniques for highend applications.
