This book throws the spotlight on those who have made, are making and will make an impact on the field of Public Administration in Europe, especially from an EGPA perspective. Building the discipline of Public Administration in Europe is a complex story of resources, languages, institutions, shared cooperation, platforms, visions, and interactions with practice in the field. This publication does not centre its attention on the historical perspective, but rather on future possibilities modelled by the experiences of the last 35 years; future perspectives based on the past and the present. This book is not meant to be a classical academic text describing and explaining why and what we are. The purpose is to demonstrate that the field of Public Administration is also a story of people. The texts thus provide the views of those involved in conducting research and teaching in Public Administration. The objective is to provide a perspective about the future, motivate the next generation of researchers and teachers in Public Administration and launch a debate on its future. Cet ouvrage vise à donner la parole à ceux qui ont fait, font et feront l’Administration publique en Europe et plus particulièrement, sous l’angle de vue du GEAP. Construire le domaine de l’Administration publique en Europe en tant que discipline est une histoire complexe de ressources, de langues, d’institutions, de collaborations, de plateformes, de visions, d’interactions avec la pratique, etc. Cet ouvrage n’emprunte pas la perspective historique classique qui raconte 35 ans d’histoire mais offre une perspective sur le futur en tenant compte du présent et du passé. Cet ouvrage n’est pas un recueil classique de textes académiques qui visent à décrire et à expliquer pourquoi nous sommes ce que nous sommes.
