What is love? To solve this with just one answer is beyond me. For love is many different things in the early stages: love is exhilarating, excitement, and breathlessness. It is the ache of separation and the comfort of togetherness that builds effortlessly to that moment when you are blessed with true love. It becomes stronger, less transitory, and builds a foundation for two lives to live as one. It is all around us for the taking. Yes, to seek it out is futile; it cannot be bought, stolen, or even given. It cannot be avoided or denied. Love is a gift from the soul, true and gentle for mankind.
"Just sitting on a seat, looking across the estuary, watching the boats gently sail by under the amazing blue sky. What really captured my attention was a lady on a beautiful wooden sailing yacht, a Bermudan Sloop, 37 ft, I believe! A design by Percy Crossley, 1934, an absolute beauty of a boat that captures everybody's attention. As the lady sailing the yacht negotiated the lock where I was sitting, I noticed she was in her early sixties, very confident and graceful. I got out of my seat and went over to the edge of the lock, hoping to catch her attention."
