This
novel is set in a small university town, and tells about the interlinking
friendships of six friends. The story involves their relationships and some of
the problems encountered by one couple who are forced to consider life-changing
decisions. It looks at bigotry and its effects, and how extreme views can cause
harsh actions, but also shows how kindness and friendship can overcome the most
difficult of situations. There are some surprises along the way and moments of
both sentiment and humour. You may well think that you recognise some of the
characters, although they are all the product of an over-imaginative mind.
