The Dales Way runs for 80 miles (128 km) from Ilkley in the Yorkshire Dales to Bowness in the Lake District. The route passes through small villages with welcoming pubs and B&Bs at strategic intervals. It ends on the shores of England's largest lake, Lake Windermere, and can be completed comfortably in 6 to 8 days.
