Full Description
Structured around the passage of the year in a site of incredible beauty, mystery and ecological importance, Duneland highlights an underexplored and overlooked Welsh landscape: the extensive Kenfig coastal dune system that stretches between the Ogwr Estuary and Gower Peninsular. The book celebrates the extraordinary biodiversity of this unique place, whilst also reflecting on our evolving relationship with the natural world under the pressure of the ecological crisis.
Poet and environmentalist Kristian Evans has been deeply immersed in this place for most of his life. Drawing on his own experiences as well as history, folklore and ecological concerns, he captures the essence of the dunes in writing that is acute and beautiful.
