Full Description
The ground beneath us is literally packed with metallic evidence which has been left, lost or deliberately deposited by our forebears. For over fifty years, using various metal detectors with ever increasing performance levels, I have been absolutely fascinated by the opportunities presented to hunt for this metallic record of our history. My life-long quest has led to the unearthing of literally thousands of Roman coins and artefacts, as well as the remains of a Zeppelin and a Dambuster Lancaster bomber being found, not to mention the long, arduous treks through the Jordanian desert looking for evidence of Lawrence of Arabia.
