Full Description
This is a collaboration between a team of accomplished Law Society of Ireland educators and Hugh Brayne and Richard Grimes, authors of the highly acclaimed UK text "The Legal Skills Book: The Student's Guide to Professional Skills" (Butterworths). The book is written in a clear and accessible style and includes fully worked examples and case studies. Through this approach, the authors show the student how to build for themselves, competence in the core legal skills, both in the context of legal practice and in the academic study of law. The book shows how acquisition of these key skills - drafting, research, interviewing, legal presentation skills and negotiation - are in fact underpinned by careful legal and factual research and the ability to communicate with and understand the client.
