In order to create a reliable, safe and cost-effective electric vehicle with acceptable range, battery charging time, battery life and driving performance, it is important to design optimised and compatible components and charging systems.
This book offers an overview of the design, modeling, simulation and control of electric vehicle components and charging technologies. Chapters address the fundamentals of electric vehicles and the essentials of their power electronics components, discuss the principles of design, modeling, simulation and control, and then apply those principles to electric machines, drives and battery management systems.
