Full Description
The author is a retired business director who has spent some 40 years of his working life in the Mediterranean, Middle East and Far East before returning to England. Returning was a culture shock in reverse and I had to adapt. Living in other countries made me realise that while the Brits have good qualities, we are also flawed and don't always know best. Values of people in other countries broadened my outlook and in some cases magnified my view of British culture and how much we had left behind. The priorities of the British people was not how I remembered as a young 21 year old explorer. My opinion was naive to say the least. With this view I began to write my poems of life's experiences and compiled and self published my second book of poetry Forget Me Not which is a sequel to the first What If?
