It is not business as usual in agriculture as we face rising global demand, climate change and diminishing arable land and resources. One way that has shown great promise in agriculture in terms of meeting global demand is innovation guided by Research and Development, extension, education, collective action, coordination, the exchange of knowledge among diverse actors, the incentives and resources available to form partnerships and develop businesses, and conditions that make it possible for farmers or entrepreneurs to use the innovations.
