Full Description
Cell biology, an important area of biology is the study of the cell and its components. The chapters in this book are related to cell division, biomarkers, membrane structures and functions, a few molecular analytical techniques, and cytological techniques that are useful in modern biomedical research. The chapters are original research articles and reviews dealing with advance concepts, and principles of cell biology, cell division guiding wound repair, fundamental concepts of membrane transport, dendritic cells, transcriptomics, clinical implications of metastatic cells, cellular biomarkers of psychiatric disorders, and Keynurine pathway in stem cells. A few chapters focus on analytical techniques like gene editing or CRISPR, application of Chromogenic In Situ Hybridization (CISH) for HPV Genotyping, molecular classification of cancer with the 92-gene assay panel, a model that simultaneously captures cell motility and multibody cell-cell interactions in a confluent tissue, and phase-digital holographic microscopy as a promising imaging technique to identify cellular biomarkers of psychiatric disorders. In one of the reviews, the use of alternative substrates and genetic modifications (host cell engineering) are analyzed as tools to overcome factors limiting productivity.
