Many people may not know that Boston College's most embarrassing football defeat may have saved the lives of hundreds of Eagles fans. They also may not know that Doug Flutie failed to see a wide-open receiver and instead heaved the ball to an apparently well-covered Gerard Phelan to complete the "Miracle in Miami."
