Full Description
Implementing statistical process control (SPC) methods is a challenge for most businesses. Although there is substantial literature available regarding the basic aspects of SPC, it is generally directed toward the use of SPC in large-scale businesses with a focus on manufacturing applications. Small business applications in general and those dealing with the services sector are not discussed in much detail. In addition, the organizational and technical factors that influence the success or failure of implementing SPC are often given only a minimal emphasis. This book discusses these factors in more detail using a peer-to-peer conversational style and also provides pragmatic views on how SPC can be applied effectively in a variety of manufacturing and services concerns.
