"Strong Start Pre-KStudents in Pre-K" is an engaging curriculum for teachers focusing on the social and emotional development of young children of all developmental levels. Schools have become as concerned with developing children's social, emotional, and behavioral skills as they have always been with developing academic skills. The Strong Kids program is based on the need for curricula that focus on this development. Because these curricula are designed to be both prevention and early intervention programs, they have a wide range of applications, and may be used effectively with high functioning, typical, at-risk, or emotionally disturbed children, in a variety of settings. This curriculum addresses the unique needs of preschool-age children and extends the series from Pre-K to grade 12.
