Full Description
Originally published in 1978, Psychological Perspectives in Youth Sports came out of symposium designed to foster communication in the field of sport psychology, which was fragmented at the time. The presentations departed from previous youth sport symposia in that they were all data based and this volume includes papers selected from those reports. The book represents an early example of research into the psychological effects of sport and competition on children and adolescents, including those with disabilities. Today it can be read in its historical context.
This book is a re-issue originally published in 1978. The language used is a reflection of its era and no offence is meant by the Publishers to any reader by this re-publication.
