The book is a selection of articles from the influential women's studies journal Tijdschrift voor Vrouwenstudies, translated from the original Dutch. Focusing on four main themes: equality versus difference, theory and history, the body, and French thought and psychoanalysis, Sharing the Difference puts onto the international feminist agenda a new tradition of research and thinking in women's studies and feminist theory.
