Full Description
Originally published in 1964, this collection of documents was the first to show in detail how the structure and conventions of British government had changed since the First World War. It provides nearly 50 statutes and contains substantial extracts from Debates, White Papers and Reports dealing with problems of delegated legislation, administrative jurisdiction, the parliamentary control of public corporations, the civil service and local government. Many of the government papers included in this book are difficult to obtain. It will be valuable to students of modern constitutional history and government administration.
