Ruby has a whole lot on her plate...
After living a privileged life of private schools, exclusive clubs and unlimited shopping sprees, she finds herself penniless and on her own. Her family fortune is lost amid a scandal involving her father's business dealings, and her acceptance to Harvard Law School hangs in the balance. If she can't find a way to fund her education on her own, she won't be able to live her dream of becoming a high-powered attorney.
The only place Ruby knows to go to is Bluff's Cove, a tiny vacation town in Cape Cod, the spot where her family owned a second home before everything went wrong. There's a bar on the beach called "The Hut", and rumor has it that the employees pocket a huge amount of cash each summer season. Ruby sets her mind on getting a job there to make up the shortfall so that she can cover her tuition and attend school in the fall. Having no real work experience is the obstacle she knows she'll need to overcome.
