Bringing together a selection of papers presented at AICED (Annual International Conference of the English Department) 24 (Bucharest, June 2023), this volume delves into a variety of topics related to the exploration of language structure, from the linear order parallelism between the nominal and clausal domains, the syntax of binominal qualitative constructions, embedded gapped sentences in Modern Romanian and differentially marked objects in Old Romanian, to typological influences on translation and parameter-resetting in L2 learning.
