This book outlines a framework for spatial pedagogy, exploring how the dynamics of multimodality at work in the interaction of human bodies and classroom spaces in pedagogic practices. Wu extends spatial discourse analysis to establish a framework for analyzing the multimodal nature of embodied practice in space.
The volume features four case studies from a range of tertiary classrooms and their material settings in Australian and Chinese higher education, each offering unique insights into teaching and learning practices and how such practices interface with movement, writing, rhythm, and blocking across different contexts.
