Full Description

This book covers environmental chemistry, toxicology, and efficacy of biopesticides and certified organic pesticides. The book examine hazards of currently certified organic pesticides and potential exposures after use. The book will start with an overview of the process used by the National Organic Materials Standards Board to judge the acceptability of products for certification. The decision making process of the NOMSB will be compared to the risk assessment
paradigm used for all pesticides. Biologically derived pesticides that are candidates for certified organic status will be discussed from the perspective of development, mode of action, and potential limitations to certification.
