The History of English Interiors is the first complete history of English interior decoration. Using contemporary illustrations in combination with specially commissioned photographs, it details and discusses all the styles and periods of English decoration. Beginning with the Normans, this book traces the development of the English interior through to such diverse styles as Gothic, Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo and Palladian.
