Full Description
When the author was twelve years old, his father bought a new motorcycle and they hopped on for a weekend camping trip. Around a crackling campfire, his father made a grand promise: if Scott graduated from college, they would ride to Alaska together on motorcycles. Ten years later, that promise was fulfilled. They headed northwest on a journey that served as the author's bridge from the safety and comfort of home to the possibilities and responsibilities of life on his own. The wonders and dangers of remote backcountry roads were continually intermixed with unique characters and beautiful scenery along the way, opening his stage's curtain for life ahead.
