Using the guide's innovative and effective activities, trainers, human resource professionals, and consultants can facilitate learning opportunities for executives, managers, and aspiring leaders who are committed to improving their leadership competencies. The Action Cards engage participants in resolving challenges in new and creative ways. Each card features one of the 30 LPI behaviors. For example, in one activity, participants apply the behaviors to a real-life, unresolved business situation. Working in small groups, the participants each present their own challenge and take turns suggesting how the problem can be solved using the different behaviors. Each activity utilizes handouts available on the accompanying website and instructions for adapting the activities to one-on-one coaching situations are also included.Facilitators will need to provide each participant with a deck of the cards. Once facilitated instruction has been completed, the cards are designed to become an ongoing resource for each of the participants as they continue to face different challenges in their day-to-day work. They can use their deck as an application tool on their own or with their team to help resolve business issues.
