Down Second Avenue is an adapted Intermediate level reader written by Ezekiel Mphahlele. This story is about a young boy called Eseki, who during his growth into adulthood, slowly starts to become aware of the injustices, poverty and fear which are a normal part of life for black people in South Africa.
