This approach to the teaching of French grammar aims to provide advice and practice in areas that present the most difficulties to post-GCSE students. It presents grammatical rules through authentic texts taken from a wide variety of sources, including newspapers, advertising and fiction. Each passage illustrates a grammatical point in active use, with commentary and vocabulary support when necessary, followed by explanations in French. For students working alone, a brief resume in English underlines the main points. A reference and practice section examines each grammatical point in alphabetical order.
