Full Description
In this joyous and colourful piano concerto, John Rutter both reflects, and reflects upon, the many soundworlds and styles that have inspired him. The 40-minute work, in four movements, is virtuosic for the soloist, while displaying the composer's masterful realization of the full potential of the symphony orchestra. There are echoes of Ravel, Gershwin, Satie, Ibert, and many others, absorbed into an idiom that remains distinctively his own.
